The Little Black Dress

A timeless classic that has lasted through the ages and doesn't seem to be relenting anytime soon. The first LBD was created by none other than the famous, prestigious designer Coco Chanel, however, it wasn't until Audrey Hepburn wore an LBD created by the equally inspiring Hubert De Givenchy, that the trend rose to its optimum height and because a wardrobe staple, classic and go to piece for every woman.

Whilst styles and trends may be forever changing, the LBD is one fashion piece which will never be frowned upon, or though to be outdated. Necklines, hemlines and sleeve lengths may change and vary greatly with each coming season, but one thing is for sure, the LBD will always be in high demand by women who want to look and feel their best.

An LBD can be worn for just about any occasion (you probably wouldn't wear it horseback riding...). The beauty of this dress is that you can tailor it to your individual style, and you can buy as many different styles as you like ... If you want to, why not have one casual LBD and one formal, one with a plain design and one with intricate detail?

The Little Black Dress is a timeless fashion icon, here are a few of my fav designs!

 A stunning vintage LBD.
An icon never to be forgotten!
This beaded design puts a fun twist on the LBD, great for a night on the town.
This LBD is intricately designed and oh so pretty!
A classic look, with the right amount of sparkle.

Let me know your thoughts on the LBD in the comments section below ... Do you have one favourite or several!?
